Risk Factors and Use Restrictions
1. You acknowledge that if you have any doubts about your ability to safely use the infrared sauna, you must consult a qualified medical professional before participation.
2. You agree not to use the infrared sauna if you have kidney problems, inflammation, acute infections, heart disease, or heart failure, as exposure to extreme temperatures may worsen these conditions and could result in serious injury or death.
3. If you are taking any medication, you must consult your medical professional prior to using the infrared sauna.
4. You agree not to use the infrared sauna while under the influence of drugs or alcohol before, during, or after your session, as this increases the risk of dizziness, unconsciousness, or other adverse effects.
5. You must immediately discontinue use of the infrared sauna if you experience light-headedness, dizziness, or heat exhaustion.
6. Pregnant guests are strictly prohibited from using the infrared sauna to protect their health and safety.
7. You agree to maintain adequate hydration throughout your session by drinking plenty of water, with a minimum recommendation of 2 litres. Proper hydration helps reduce risks such as dizziness, fainting, and other adverse effects related to heat exposure.
8. You accept full responsibility for monitoring your own health and wellbeing during use, and understand that it is your duty to cease use immediately if you feel unwell or experience any adverse symptoms.
9. You consent to receive emergency medical treatment if you become incapacitated or unable to give consent while using the facilities.
Session Duration & Recovery:
1. You acknowledge that infrared sauna use involves exposure to extreme heat and agree to monitor your body's response throughout the session.
2. You agree to limit infrared sauna rounds based on your personal tolerance, health, and experience.
3. You are advised to rest outside the infrared sauna during your session to support recovery, rehydration, and cardiovascular regulation.
Minors (Ages 14–17)
Guests between the ages of 14 and 17 may only use the facility when accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or a supervising and consenting adult, with a supervision ratio of 1 adult per 1 child. The supervising adult is fully responsible for the minor’s wellbeing, safety, and appropriate behaviour at all times while on the premises.
Respect, Etiquette & Facility Use
Guests must follow all infrared sauna and facility etiquette:
1. You must sit with your entire body and feet on a towel while in the sauna, and wipe down the seat and backrest after use.
2. Guests must be respectful of others, Tribe Sauna + Ice staff, and the property at all times.
3. You agree to refrain from using any electronic devices while in the infrared sauna, as such use may create safety hazards for yourself and others.
4. Keep voices low to maintain a quiet and relaxing environment for all guests.
5. Use showers only after your session. Do not allow water to enter the infrared sauna, as this may cause damage to the equipment.
6. You acknowledge that all personal belongings are your responsibility. Tribe Sauna + Ice is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
7. If your behaviour is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or disrespectful, including misuse of the facilities or equipment, Tribe Sauna + Ice staff may ask you to leave immediately without a refund.
Induction and Personal Responsibility
I confirm that I have received, or will receive, an induction on my first visit and agree to follow all Tribe Sauna + Ice rules and etiquette. I acknowledge that it is my sole responsibility to monitor my body’s response to heat exposure and to determine whether it is safe for me to use the infrared sauna. I accept full responsibility for my own health, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in using the infrared sauna. I voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident, or death which may arise from the use of the infrared sauna. I and any of my heirs, executors, representatives, or assigns hereby release myself from all claims or liabilities for personal injury or property damages of any kind sustained while on the premises, during the use of the infrared sauna, and from any advice provided by an employee, independent contractor, or any representative of Tribe Sauna + Ice. I agree that this Application and Waiver is in effect for all infrared sauna sessions with Tribe Sauna + Ice and will not expire unless requested by either party and understand it is my personal responsibility to consult with my doctor regarding my participation.
